Jakarta, August 21st – Celebrating the 77th Independence Day of Indonesia, “Beri Aku Sepuluh Pemuda” (BASP) unveiled a monumental creative project through a mural in Solo, Jawa Tengah, Sunday, August 21st, 2022.

This mural is a fanart of the Ceria Solo Mural, and is supported by Guruh Sukarno Putra, Bumilangit, Mayor of Solo Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Casytha Kathmandu from BASP and Sesolo Creative. The production process of this mural is also supported by donors who love Bung Karno, and wants to uphold the Indonesia’s diversity.

The message of this mural is “Gotong Royong” where Bung Karno along with world’s great figures is depicted shaking hands with Gundala and other Bumilangit patriots such as Sri Asih, Si Buta Dari Gua Hantu, Tira and Godam.

The spirit of Gotong Royong between world leaders and superheroes shows cooperation, collaboration and unity. The presence of Bumilangit patriots is also an attempt to be closer to Generation Z.

“Beri Aku Sepuluh Pemuda” itself is a ‘street-wear youth brand’ whose name was taken from Bung Karno’s famous quote about the strength of our nation’s youth. BASP wants to provide space for the creativity of the youth generation and to revive the spirit of nationalism and the figure of Bung Karno as the founding fathers.
