Jakarta – Sri Asih, the second entry of Bumilangit Cinematic Universe produced by Screenplay Bumilangit, will be officially released in cinemas throughout Indonesia on October 6th, 2022. The announcement of the release date was made Friday, August 12th, 2022 in the Twitter Space event with Upi, the writer and director of Sri Asih, and Joko Anwar, the co-writer of Sri Asih and producer of BCU.

In the Twitter Space hosted by Shani Budi, Upi and Joko Anwar also answered questions from Rakyat Bumilangit regarding the shooting process, research that Upi carried out in the pre-production of his first superhero film, decision to cast Pevita Pearce as Sri Asih, Upi admiration for R.A. Kosasih works, and fan theories.

Sri Asih had released its first teaser trailer on July 6th, 2022 and received a warm welcome from the public and became a trending topic on Twitter shortly after its release.
