MANDALA

Mandala is the main character in a martial arts comic series created by Indonesian comic book artist Mansyur Daman, also known as 'Man', in the 1970s. This character first appeared in the martial arts comic series 'Bidadari Mata Elang', also created by Man, and later became the main character in his own series, most notably in 'Siluman Sungai Ular'. The 'Mandala' comic series is one of the popular fictional martial arts comics that was adapted into a live-action film in 1983 titled "Golok Setan" starring Barry Prima as Mandala and Advent Bangun as Banyu Jaga. The success of this film was followed by a second adaptation, 'Mandala Dari Sungai Ular' in 1987."
