Bumilangit is a family for the original artists who have been working from the early years until today, as well as the loyal fans who appreciate our amazing works. Bumilangit is Asia's leading character-based entertainment company that manages an unrivaled library of over 1,200 characters featured in comics published in the last sixty years. The strength of these characters is not only based on their popularity, but also the rich stories behind each character. The best characters in our library include Si Buta dari Gua Hantu (The Sightless Warrior), Indonesia's number one character IP and also Gundala, Indonesia's most popular superhero. Our characters have been featured in more than 200 comic titles and books that sold to 5 million readers with 30 million views, as well as 13 movies and 21 episodes of television series.

Started his venture in comics publishing during his college years in 1994, Bismarka founded Bumilangit in 2003. He lived in US for 5 years, where he obtained a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MEng in Structural Engineering from Cornell University, and an MBA in Finance, Investment & Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
With vast business development experience in world class technology companies such as Nokia and Ericsson, Bimo holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung and a Master of Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
Andy Wijaya is one of the prominent figure in the comic industry in Indonesia. He is known to be the top collector of Indonesian comics with more than 50,000 books and 2,000 titles. Andy uses his vast knowledge and industry networks to promote comic arts in various forms in the country in the last 12 years. He left his 8 years job as a senior programmer in USI IBM and Maybank Singapore to dedicate his affection in the comics industry.
Iwan Nazif has more than 15 years of experience as comic illustrator and animator. He had won a national award in his comic arts, as well as recognized as the first Indonesians who were commissioned to be the main illustrator for comics published by well-known international comic publishers. His artworks include comic series published by Dark Horse Comics as well as Dreamwork’s How To Train Your Dragon comic series. Iwan graduated with a degree in Architecture from Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung.
Wim has more than 16 years of experience in the field of cutting-edge visual communication industry. He had worked closely with many top international brands such as Coca Cola and Nestle during his period as an art director in an advertising agency. Wim had managed several companies including a digital agency, an interactive online game designer as well as a post production studio for editing, digital visual effects and 3D animation. Wim was born in Berlin, Germany. He had lived for extensive periods in Singapore, Germany and Australia and is fluent in three languanges. He graduated from KvB Institute of Design Sydney, Australia with a degree in Visual Communications specializing in Graphic & Multimedia Design.
With 11 years experience in the licensing & merchandising industry in several well-known companies such as Walt Disney Indonesia, Agung holds a Bachelor of Communication degree from the University of Canberra and a Master of Business Administration from the Maastricht School of Management.
Is Yuniarto is one of Indonesia's most renowned comic artists. His comic works have been successfully published in Indonesia and Japan. Is won the prestigious Wacom Vehicle Design Award in 2010 and was one of the top ten finalists in Stan Lee's Superhero Contest. His comic works include Wind Rider (winner of the Komikasia Award in 2005 in three different categories), Garudayana (one of the most successful manga comics in Indonesia), and Spirit of Nusantara (a manga comic of Indonesian warriors). Is earned his Visual Communication Design degree from Petra Christian University, Surabaya. Besides continuing his dedication to comic art, Is also teaches Comics/Sequential Art at several universities in Surabaya.
Tjipto is the owner of one of the best animation studios in Indonesia with a portfolio starting in the animation industry.
Maya Anggraini is the Finance General Manager of Bumilangit Entertainment
Aprilia has more than 15 years experience working in various media companies such as television and radio stations in Jakarta and Balikpapan. She had also done some works as a journalist and writer research. April holds a Law degree from Universitas Pancasila, Jakarta.
Goklas Teguh Sujiwo, otherwise known as Oyasujiwo, has more than 15 years of experience in the comic and animation industry in Indonesia. Oyasujiwo has won numerous national awards for his works including the Best Character Kosasih Award in 2007. Many of his works focus on children's stories in Indonesia. To date, Oyasujiwo has written more than 30 children's books published nationwide. One of his children's book series, Odong-odong Dongeng, was the best-selling illustrated children's story book in 2015. Oyasujiwo has an active role as a scriptwriter and in the character development of three Unilever animated films, Wall's Padde Pop (Magilika, Elemagika and Atlantos) which aired internationally. He is also the designer of Mythical Lords arcade game, a card-based match game initiated by Timezone in 2011. Oyasujiwo holds a degree in Graphic Design from Bandung Institute of Technology.
Sungging has been pursuing comic art for more than 20 years as a drawer and story writer. The eldest son of renowned comic artist, the late Wid NS, Sungging continues his devotion to the world of comics by creating new comics as well as writing comic scripts and TV animation series. Sungging earned his Art and Design degree from the Institute of Art and Design. He currently teaches Comics and Illustration at a university in Jogjakarta.
