In addition, the film “Gundala” will also be screened in Japanese theaters starting November 13

(Jakarta, November 5, 2020) More than a year after its screening in Indonesian cinemas, the film “Gundala” is still getting good news. The goldenglobes.com site, which is the home for information on the Golden Globe Awards, wrote about the presence of the film “Gundala” to start the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe. The Golden Globe Awards are recognizing excellence in film, both American and International, and American television.

In an article published on the goldenglobes.com site, Ting Ting Xiu wrote, “Gundala has provided Bumilangit Cinematic Universe a successful genre-mixing formula that combines wall-to-wall martial arts action sequences, humor and mythologies.”

The writer also praised Joko Anwar, “Known for his versatility in different genres, Anwar tells his story with sophisticated tension and slick visuals.”

This is not the first time the film “Gundala” has received attention from the Golden Globe Awards website. Last year, the social media account @goldenglobes gave likes for a Toronto International Film Festival Twitter post discussing the film “Gundala”.

Another news is that the film “Gundala” will be on screen in Japanese cinemas starting November 13, 2020. Previously in September 2020, “Gundala” was also screened in South Korea.

In August 2020, Marvel Studios President and Marvel Creative Head, Kevin Feige, supported Joko Anwar and Bumilangit Cinematic Universe at the Disney+ Hotstar Grandfest 2020 event. At the event, Disney+ Hotstar’s collaboration with Bumilangit Cinematic Universe was announced. In addition, Screenplay Bumilangit announced four well-known actresses who will be the newest cast of Bumilangit Cinematic Universe (BCU), namely Christine Hakim, Reza Rahadian, Dimas Anggara, and Jefri Nichol.

Continuing Bumilangit Cinematic Universe, two more films are currently being worked on, namely “Virgo and the Sparklings” directed by Ody C. Harahap and “Sri Asih” directed by Upi.
